– Arrested 9 smugglers in connection with this case

Tirupati, November 19:
Tirupati RedSander Anti Smuggling Task Force Police (RSASTF) personnel have seized Rs 1.2 crore worth 85 RedSander logs in two different locations in connections at 6 th and 7th mile of Tirumala ghat road. On the orders of task force SP Meda MallikarjunaRao , RSI Suresh and his three teams conducted combing for RS smugglers at Papavinasanam forest area. During their combing operation a group of smugglers were seen carrying RedSander logs.
Task force police apprehended the 8 smugglers Parandahamaiah, Penchalaiah(49), Subramanyam(36), Mallikarjuna(25), VaradaRajulu(60), Murali(45), Munaswamy(68), Chengalraidu(36) at 7th mile. In another incident at 6th mile near ghat road police arrested R. Srinivasulu (24). In these two cases task force police have seized 85 logs weighing 1.5 tonne , worth Rs 1.2 crores.
In the above cases one goods carrier vehicle and four motorcycles were seized by the task force teams.
