Enthralled by the world-class infrastructure  and business friendly ambiance of Business City, praises it as an ideal place to invest

Sri City, January 11, 2023 – Mr. Wonjae UHM, Deputy Consul General of Republic of Korea in Chennai visited Sri City on Wednesday, along with Mr. Jihwan EUN, DG and Mr. Taewan KIM, Certified Customs Attorney of the Chennai based Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), a non-profit organisation working within the aegis of Embassy of the Republic of Korea. Mr. Satish Kamat, President (Operations) Sri City extended a warm welcome to the visiting dignitaries.

Briefing them on the salient features of Sri City Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director highlighted the  infrastructure, unique features and the brisk pace of development in Sri City. He drew their attention on the available investment options in different sectors, financial incentives from the state and central governments, and specific advantage of locating  production units in Sri City.

Thanking the Deputy Consul General and the team, Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, said,”We feel honoured for the attention paid by Mr. Wonjae UHM in knowing more about Sri City. We are confident that his observations, which are very encouraging, would pave way for more business investments from South Korea.”

Fascinated by the world-class infrastructure and business friendly ambiance, Mr. Wonjae UHM expressed happiness over the presence of Korean companies in Sri City and said,”It has been a pleasure of visiting Sri City and observing the impressive development.” He mentioned that they would introduce Sri City’s business potential to the Korean companies interested in investing in India and suggest business delegations to visit Sri City. In view of the several advantages, such as strategic location, reliable power and water supply, availability of required skilled and unskilled manpower in the area, etc., some of the companies would prefer Sri City for their investment in India, the Deputy Consul General said.

The purpose of the visit was to witness the existing infrastructure at the mega industrial park and assess its business potential. During the interaction, Mr. Wonjae UHM and other officials evinced keen interest and inquired on different aspects of Sri City. Following the briefing session, they visited the production unit of Hyundai Engineering Plastics (HDC) and had a close glimpse of the production facilities and witnessed the works in progress.
