Sri City, January 26, 2023:- Sri City community celebrated the 74th Republic Day with enthusiasm and zeal. In a colourful ceremony held at the lawns of Business Centre Prof. Nirmala Rao, Vice Chancellor, Krea University unfurled the National Flag, and took salute at an impressive parade held by the contingents of Sri City security force.
Greeting the community, Prof. Nirmala Rao recalled the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and briefly summarised the progress achieved by the country in different spheres during the past seven decades. Exalting the growth and development of Sri City, she appreciated the efforts of Sri City Management for providing ample employment opportunities in a backward area. Prof. Nirmala Rao stated that Sri City provides a good environment for a happy, safe, and peaceful living.
Addressing the gathering Mr. Jagadish Nayak, Dy. Superintendent of Police, Sri City appreciated the able assistance being extended by Sri City Security teams in maintaining the law and order and regulating the traffic in the region. He called upon all the stakeholders to cooperate with the Police in making Sri City as the ‘safest’ place to live.
Conveying greetings on the occasion, Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City said, “On this joyous occasion of Republic Day Celebrations, I extend my hearty greetings and good wishes to the Sri City community. Today we are the world’s largest democracy, and our constitution has been the strength of our nation through its principals of equality and social justice.”
Women groups from the neighbouring villages presented a colourful and vibrant Kollatam.
Mr. Ramesh, Head, Security & Vigilance oversaw the ceremonial parade. The chief guest presented cash awards and certificates to a few security guards and Police constables in recognition of their meritorious services. Besides the employees of Sri City, a host of officials of industrial units, public from neighbouring villages and children took part in the event.
Republic day was celebrated in a befitting manner at the Development Commissioner’s office, Krea University, IIIT, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, seventeen government schools and fourteen anganwadies in the vicinity of Sri City. Sri City Foundation assisted the schools in organising the event. Cookies were distributed to all the students.
