TIRUMALA, 27 JANUARY 2023: The Gold Malam works of Ananda Nilayam mulled by TTD in the month of February, has been postponed and decided to go far global tenders for time bound completion of the gold plating works to avoid inconvenience to the pilgrims, said TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy.
Speaking to media persons along with TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and JEO Sri Veerabrahmam at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, the Chairman said, the gold malam works taken up in Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple which has been given to a local contractor is still going on from the past two years.
But in Tirumala, the works should be completed within the specific time schedule as the temple is being visited by lakhs of devotees. So we are contemplating a work contract to a best contract calling for global tenders. As such we will come up with some other date after five or six months and ensure the works are completed within time bound to avoid inconvenience to pilgrims, he said.
TTD GEARS UP FOR RADHA SAPTHAMI-CHAIRMAN
TIRUMALA, 27 JANUARY 2023: TTD has geared up for one day Brahmotsavam or Radha Sapthami which is scheduled on January 28 said, TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy.
Speaking to media persons along with EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and JEO Sri Veerabrahmam at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, the Chairman said, the first vahanam commences at 5:30am with Suryaprabha Vahanam and concludes at 9pm with Chandraprabha Vahanam on Saturday. The seven day vahanams with Chakrasnanam in the afternoon takes place from dawn to dusk.
All the departments including Annaprasadam, Health, Vigilance, have made arrangements to ensure that the visiting pilgrims have a hassle free darshan of vahana sevas in the four-mada streets.
