Tirupati MP Dr. Maddila Gurumurthy met with the Director General of the Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) Ashok Kumar Singh in New Delhi today to discuss the issues surrounding ESI hospitals in the Tirupati constituency. During the meeting, Gurumurthy raised concerns about the delayed construction of a 100-bed ESI hospital in the Sri City industrial area, emphasizing its importance for workers and the general public in the rapidly developing region. He also highlighted the need to upgrade the existing 50-bed ESI hospital in Tirupati to 100 beds due to the growing number of beneficiaries.
Additionally, the MP pointed out the delay in opening ESI dispensaries in key areas like Satyavedu, Tirumala, Nayudupet, and Muthukur, which are causing difficulties for beneficiaries in accessing medical services. Gurumurthy urged the Director General to take immediate action to resolve these issues and improve healthcare services for ESI beneficiaries. The Director General responded positively and assured that necessary measures would be taken to address the concerns.
