Six buses from Nellore and six from Tirupati

The facility of electric AC bus services has been made available to the people of Nellore and tirupati district. Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) Chairman A Mallikarjuna Reddy flagged off the electric bus services between Nellore and Tirupati on Friday. 12 buses will ply between Tirupati and Nellore. Six buses will leave from Nellore at the scheduled time and six more will start from Tirupati. APSRTC is already running 50 buses of Olectra Greentech between Tirupati and Tirumala. few days ago electric AC bus services were started between Tirupati and Kadapa. APSRTC has recently started the service of Olectra Greentech AC electric buses on Nellore-Tirupati route. 35 people including the driver can travel in this bus. Depending on the traffic and capacity of the passengers, these buses can travel 200 kilometres on a single charge. On this occasion, Mallikarjuna Reddy said that RTC is introducing electric buses with the aim of protecting the environment. Electric buses will be provided from more cities soon. He said that the government will take steps to increase the use of electric vehicles. He said that the electric buses which are already plying between Tirupati, Tirumala and Tirupati Kadapa are getting good reception. APSRTC Zonal Chairman Battula Supraja, public transport department and Olectra GreenTech officials participated in this program.
