Inaugurated JSW Academic Block at Krea University campus
Sri City, September 23, 2023:- Indian Steel tycoon Mr. Sajjan Jindal, Chairman and Managing Director of JSW Group, who is a member of the Governing Council of Krea University located in Sri City made a brief visit to Sri City on Saturday. The purpose of his visit was to dedicate the newly built JSW Academic block at the university campus in Sri City. He was accorded a warm welcome by Mr. N. Vaghul, Chancellor and Prof. Nirmala Rao Vice Chancellor of the University and Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City.
Following the formal inauguration of the building, in a gathering held at the auditorium, Mr. Vaghul recounted the inception of the university and emphasised Mr. Jindal’s pivotal role in providing unwavering support. He also praised the Sri City Management for generously allocating a spacious area within an industrial, yet eco-friendly, environment for the university campus. He expressed his deep optimism that with the continued assistance of all patrons, such as Mr. Jindal, the institution is certain to establish itself as one of the top universities in the country, comparable to Nalanda and Takshasila.
Addressing the gathering Mr. Sajjan Jindal recollected his first meeting with Mr. Vaghul, during which the idea of establishing a liberal arts institution with the assistance of industrialists was broached. “I was impressed with the concept and quickly agreed to lend my support. I am overjoyed to see the institution in such a wonderful form, creating hundreds of young people who are beneficial to society. The JSW Block, which stands tall on campus, demonstrates our commitment to Krea’s progress, and we will be delighted to continue our collaboration in elevating the institution to new heights,” Mr. Jindal added.
Greeting Mr. Jindal, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy reminisced their association during the Assocham delegation’s visit to Japan in 2009, headed by Mr. Jindal, and updated him on the progress in Sri City since then. Mr. Jindal acknowledged his delight at Sri City’s swift progress to become one of the country’s top-rated industrial parks.
Prof. Nirmala Rao VC thanked Mr. Sajjan Jindal and Mrs. Sangeeta Jindal for attending the function and expressed thanks for providing an amazing building.
